Nice somewhat chill place for after work dinner/drinks. They don’t rush you to leave here. There is Guinness and chicken pot pie. It’s close enough to grand central station. There are two floors but when we went here only the first floor was open.
Friday afternoon 4pm went in very few people (nice).
I ordered a burger without cheese, my husband a chilly con carne
My burger arrived smothered with cheese, French fries were burned. Served 1/2 a bun with dead salad & old tomato. My husband did not get the sour cream.
Thankfully our waiter was very nice & deducted burger from bill.
He said he has complained to the manager about the kitchen staff numerous times about how they do not read or listen to the orders & never serve the sour cream.
If they can not get a order right of cook the food correctly during a quiet time, boy I would hate to go in there when it is busy!
Great atmosphere, great service. Bartender was amazing and friendly. Shepards pie was the worst I have ever had. It was like a sloppy Joe with some agressive herbs with mashed potatoes on top. Food orders around us looked good, so I'd just avoid the shepherds pie.
Great place for lunch or after work drinks. Food is excellent. I had a Cheddar Cheeseburger and the server took great care to ensure that it was cooked the way I wanted it. It was really delicious, and the fries that came with the burger were crunchy and tasty. One in our party had the Cobb Salad which was also plentiful and tasty. Service was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.
Great Chipotle chicken sandwich, a must try when in the area. Awesome service and not to busy considering its lunch time on black Friday.
It was empty in here when we arrived, but that probably had to do with it being the coldest day of the year. The place was warm and cozy, the waiter was a bit aloof though; but that was fine, he was actually very nice.
Had the steak sandwich with fries; the sandwich was really good and the fries were hot and crispy. I would definitely come back here to try their other menu items.
Ate lunch on my trip to the city. Typical Irish bar w/good food. What made it a five star is the service. Cordial, welcoming and efficient. Had a great fish sandwich and fries and a decent pour on the whiskey (bit pricey tho' on the drink--but I wouldn't turn it down!!!). Place warmed me up on a cold day.
Pretty good food and had a nice vibe. Definitely recommend the spinach and feta dip. The fried calamari was also super delicious. Their cocktails are fantastic. Menu has a lot of variety and all the ones we tried were very tasty. Service …
